Small Group Therapy
Small group therapy consists of one therapist and two to three children. The children in the group all have similar learning differences, mild developmental disabilities and/or attentional problems. The idea behind the small group setting is that the group can be tailored to fit the individuals in the group. Small group therapy supports a child's overall development addressing specific behavioral difficulties and supporting healthy social and emotional growth. It can be particularly beneficial when children have difficulties with self-esteem and self-confidence related to their personal challenges, which negatively impacts their relationships within an academic, social and/or family setting.
