Post-Partum Depression Support

Besides simply feeling down, around 10-20% of mothers drift into post-partum depression.

If you are…

feeling excessively worried
having difficulty sleeping
feeling fearful
experiencing outbursts of crying
making mountains out of molehills
often confused
feeling a lack of motivation
feeling a lack of interest in caring for yourself
angry toward your husband and sometimes your baby

...you may be experiencing post-partum depression.

This is not a weakness on your part. It is your body telling you it's worn out and that maybe you could use some support.

The initial transition to parenthood can be difficult given the physical, emotional and social changes that come with having a baby. These issues may even be more pronounced for the experienced mother who is having an additional child.

At Thrive Under Five, we offer both individual and group support for mothers who face post-partum challenges. Our services are designed to offer therapeutic support to new mothers who are experiencing post-partum depression or have a history of depression and/or anxiety. The individual format offers mothers a safe and supportive place to discuss their feelings and concerns. The group format offers new mothers the opportunity to bond with others who are experiencing similar emotions or having similar reactions to parenthood. We understand the challenges that new mothers face and have years of experience helping mothers get through this often difficult time.
